Meet the friendly staff at Parkview Pet Hospital!
Dr. Maggie Gamble has been a veterinarian for over 30 years and has worked at various emergency clinics, animal hospitals, and shelters.
Maggie Gamble, D.V.M. was born and raised in Southern California, and attended the University if California, Davis for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She majored in Nutrition and then attended the School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1981. She has been a veterinarian for over 30 years, but has been an animal lover for her entire life. At the age of 12 she decided she wanted to become a veterinarian, and got her first job working with a vet when she was 16 years old. Throughout her life she has had a variety of pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, Amazon parrots, cockatiels, a python, an iguana, a tortoise, and even a tarantula.
During her veterinary career she has worked at emergency clinics, various animal hospitals in the Long Beach and South Bay areas, and the Long Beach Animal Shelter, where she helped sick and injured homeless pets. In addition to working in many different animal hospitals during the past three decades, she also worked with marine mammals at Mainland and with exotic animals and the Sacramento Zoo. At Parkview Pet Hospital, she treats each pet with as much care as she gives her own pets, focusing on disease prevention through proper nutrition and healthy socialization through plenty of playtime, Maggie presently lives in the South Bay with her son, Ian, who also works at Parkview Pet Hospital. Their beloved cat, Obi, a special needs cat who was paralyzed in the hind legs for the most of his life, passed away recently.

Ian Gamble practically grew up in a veterinary hospital!
