Dr. Kosmin

Meet the friendly staff at Parkview Pet Hospital!

Dr.
Larry Kosmiin
D.V.M.

Over the past ten years, Dr. Kosmin has worked as a consulting veterinarian for the City of Long Beach, City of Irvine, and the California Veterinary Medical Board. Currently, he is the Medical Director of the Stanbridge University Registered Veterinary Technician Program.

Dr. Kosmin graduated from KSU with a DVM in 1966. He practiced for a short time in Missouri and then moved to CA four years later in 1970 to continue practicing. After practicing in Los Angeles until 1975 he moved to Orange Country and purchased Tustin Ave Veterinary Hospital. Shortly after purchasing the facility the Hospital became accredited by the AAHA and maintains that accreditation to this day. Dr. Kosmin sold the practice in 2003 and maintained an affiliation there until he retired in 2008.

Since his retirement, he has been active on the board of trustees of the SCVMA (Southern California Veterinary Medical Association) and was the president in 2010. Soon after that he was elected to the board of governors of the CVMA (California Veterinary Medical Association). He has also been consulting for the CA Department of Consumer Affairs (Veterinary Medical Board) as a contract Hospital Inspector. Also in 2010, he was the consultant for the City of Long Beach during their hunt for a full-time DVM.

He is currently the Medical Director of the Stanbridge University Registered Veterinary Technician Program.

In his spare time, Dr. Kosmin enjoys bicycling, traveling and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
