Our Services

Complete Physical Examination

The gradual onset of health problems in an apparently healthy pet often goes unnoticed. Once symptoms appear, the condition may be more difficult or costly to diagnose and treat. Although age itself is not a disease, it can bring many conditions that if diagnosed early can be completely reversed or controlled for extended periods of time.

At least once a year, your pet should have a complete physical examination. Remember, your pet's lifespan is shorter than a person's. Much can happen in 12 months.

Vaccination Against Preventable Diseases

Due to recent discoveries and innovations in veterinary medicine, your pet can be protected from many major diseases. Several immunizations and preventive treatments are available that did not exist just a few years ago. The staff at Parkview Pet Hospital can help you decide what vaccinations are necessary for your pet.

Diagnostics

Parkview Pet Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art in-house blood analysis machines and digital radiography to help diagnose your pet痴 illness. We also utilize a reliable reference laboratory for more complex testing and clinical pathology. A mobile ultrasonographer is available to ultrasound your pet if indicated.

Hospitalization/Intensive Care

In the case your pet needs to be hospitalized, we have all the facilities necessary to provide intensive care, including constant monitoring during the day, and overnight post-operative care. If your pet痴 condition is critical, we will recommend transfer to an overnight emergency/critical care hospital.

Heartworm Testing / Prevention

A potentially fatal disease, we can test your pet for heartworm and provide him (or her) with an appropriate preventive medication.

Flea and Tick Control

We carry Advantage and Frontline, topical flea and tick preventatives that can keep your pet free from these parasites and prevent the itching, discomfort, allergies and skin conditions associated with them.

Fecal Examinations for Intestinal Parasites / Prevention

We recommend testing your newly acquired pet for worms, and also retesting on a regular basis to ensure that they are parasite-free. We carry topical and oral preventative medications to keep your pet safe from intestinal parasites.

Feline Leukemia / Feline Immunodeficiency Virus Testing

Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) are two of the major causes of illness and death in domestic cats. Parkview Pet Hospital is equipped for FeLV and FIV testing.

Surgery

Our hospital is equipped to perform most surgical procedures - from spays and neuters to more complicated surgeries. We take pride in our new surgery and anesthesia equipment and our modern patient monitoring systems.

Dental Cleaning

Animals (like people) need regular dental care. Gum disease causes pain, accounts for the loss of teeth, and can lead to serious generalized bacterial infections. Our physical exams include a thorough examination of the mouth. Teeth cleaning (removal of dental plaque and tartar) is an important step in preventing dental problems.

Pharmacy

We have an extensive on-site pharmacy for client convenience, that carries all the medications we commonly prescribe.
