Margaret Ann Gamble, D.V.M.

Our veterinarian is Maggie Gamble, D.V.M. She graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1981. She has been a veterinarian for over 27 years, but has been an animal lover her entire life. At the age of 12 she decided she wanted to become a veterinarian, and got her first job working with a vet when she was 16 year of age.

In addition to working in many different animal hospitals over the past 30 years, she also worked with marine mammals at Marineland and with exotic animals at the Sacramento Zoo. Over the years she has had a variety of pets including: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, Amazon parrots, cockatiels, a python, an iguana, a tortoise, and even a tarantula.

For the past 10 years she has worked on weekends at Crossroads Animal Emergency clinic in addition to working during the week at various animal hospitals in the Long Beach and South Bay area. She currently works with the Long Beach Animal Shelter to help sick and injured homeless pets. At Parkview Pet Hospital, she treats each pet with as much care as she gives her own pets, focusing on disease prevention through proper nutrition and healthy socialization through plenty of playtime.

Maggie presently lives in the South Bay with her 15-year-old son, Ian,  (who is our webmaster) and their pets:  a cat and a Leopard Gecko.
